CESIE is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation based in Palermo and established in 2001. The organisation is committed to promote cultural, social, educational and economic development at local, national, European and international levels: it contributes to growth and development through the active participation of people, civil society and institutions, always valuing diversity. Inspired by the work and life of Danilo Dolci, the organisation’s work focus on actions on the research of social needs and challenges and the use of innovative learning approaches. In this way, CESIE actively connects research with action through the use of formal and non-formal learning approaches.

FFE - The Forum for Freedom in Education

The Forum for Freedom in Education is a well-recognized civil society organisation active since 1992. It works on harmonising the educational system in Croatia with the educational standards of modern democratic societies, guided by the principles of choice and equal access to education that enables the self-realisation of a person.

Our innovative, high-quality programmes provide support to teachers and schools, children and youth, university lecturers and professionals working with children and youth in the educational and the social welfare systems. The programmes of teaching advancement, civic and health education, skills of non-violent conflict resolution and improvement of school management are designed for those stakeholders.

The goals of the programmes of the Forum for Freedom in Education are achieved through professional training seminars and educational activities, studies and analyses, campaigns and creative competitions, as well as through direct work with teachers and schools. Publishing plays an important role in disseminating best practices by way of compendia and other publications available on the organisation’s web site. Particular attention is paid to the development of high-quality programmes for children and youth so that they can gain knowledge and skills for their participation in societal and democratic processes.

Over its 30 years of work, the Forum for Freedom in Education has grown into an organisation that successfully uses European Union funds for the development of Croatian schools and the professional training of teachers.

Pistes-Solidaires

Pistes-Solidaires is an association that develops its projects and actions around the 4 pillars of UNESCO for a 21st century education. Founded 20 years ago, it is now based in Pau, in the south west of France.
Since 2013, the association has been labelled by the European Commission in France as Europe Direct Pau Pays de l’Adour.
European citizenship being at the heart of our missions, we develop activities to inform, educate and advise to allow a better knowledge of the EU, its countries, its functioning and its importance in our daily life.
Pistes-Solidaires enables and accompanies the European and international mobility of young people (internships, volunteering, training…) and also develops social innovation projects at local and European level.

Out of the Box International

Out of the Box International is European Network bringing together different organisations advocating for a more innovative, citizen-centered and solidar policies on European and city level. Our main mission is to provide expertise, ICT tools and network for dissemination of research, trainings and innovative practices. Our MEMBER ORGANISATIONS (34) from 24 countries are Youth Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), Municipalities and Universities ensuring a variety of expertise and experience in building different kind of innovative social projects. Our TARGET GROUPS are young people, CSOs and policy makers. The mission of ‘Out of the Box International’ is to develop and shape innovative policies in social entrepreneurship, social cohesion, open digital environment and further enhancement of the European project.

VIVES

VIVES is a University of Applied Sciences with over 17 000 students in West-Flanders. VIVES offers courses in six fields of study: Applied Engineering and Technology, Applied Social Studies, Biotechnology, Commercial Sciences, Business Management and Informatics, Education and Health Care. In the EUNITE-project, the Center of Expertise on Social Innovation, related to Applied Social Studies, is engaged. This centre of expertise focuses on serveral projects related to the social field in which new solutions for societal needs are explored.

Regional Development Fund

The main objective of the Regional Development Fund is the management of the Public Investment Program (PIP) funds and other funding, which are related to the regional and special development programs of the Region.

Among its responsibilities is also the support of the Executive Committee’s work, the Region’s technical support in the field of studies and research, its financial management, participation in EU programs as well as other responsibilities as described in the provisions which govern it.

RDF, on the one hand, operates as an financial manager (financial liable) of the Public Investment Program projects and European Structural Funds, on the other hand, makes use of its potential for the implementation of European Programs and various studies and research, supports the development process in the region concerned.
